Practical questions about the rental of the cottage La Tanière

Transport of luggage (in winter)

Your bags can be sent up or down by snowmobile.

This can only be done when the slopes are closed (before 9.00am or after 4.30pm/5.00pm).

The smowmobile cannot be used for the transport of passengers.

The rental costs include a maximum of 6 snowmobile journeys for the 210m² flat and 4 for the 110m² flat.

Any extra journeys will cost 20 Euros each.

To make arrangements for your arrival please contact the caretaker on a Wednesay or Thursday to arrange a rendezvous (not Friday night for a Saturday or Sunday).

The caretaker will arrange his timetable to suit your arrival time. If you do not get in contact first you might have to wait several hours.

Sleeping arrangements

Each bed has a matress, blankets or a duvet, a pillow and a mattress protector.

Their cleanliness is usually checked after every letting.

In order to help us provide a better service we would ask you to let us know if there is anything wrong or of any wear and tear you have noticed or that was caused by you.

We do not supply sheets. In 2003 these could be hired in Arcs 1600.


In the living room there is a central fireplace. In order to ensure that it does not smoke we advise that you light the fire well back and in the centre. You should also note that you need to make a good fire at the start in order to warm the chimney.

Logs are supplied and included in the rental cost.

The fireplace should be clean and without ash on departure.

For kindling wood you will be supplied with an axe.

Waste collection

There is no waste collection. The caretaker will tell you what to do.

The dustbin takes 100 litre bags.

Cleaning the apartment

On departure we would ask you to leave the apartment clean.

If you would like someone else to do the cleaning, please contact the caretaker who will try and find you someone (no guarantee).


The caretaker will see you in and will see to the maintenace of the building, heating and snow-clearing. He has the keys to the apartment and you should return them to him on departure. He will check the inventory with you when you leave.

Rental Terms

  • 1 - The rental period starts on Sunday at 3.00pm and finishes on Sunday at 10.00am.

  • 2 - The weekly rental price depends on the season. Electricity, heating, water, wood and snowmobile trips are all included in the rent, the occupation tax is not.

  • 3 - We would ask you to pay 20% of the rent when you make a reservation, the balance to be paid 8 days days before you arrive. This should be sent to Montremy Immobilier by cheque (drawn on a French bank) or by bank transfer.

  • 4 - A deposit of 600.00 Euros should be sent with the balance to J. de Montremy. This will be returned to you no more than 15 days after your departure from la Tanière.

  • 5 - An inventory can be found in the apartment. check it on arrival and make any reservations known to the careaker. When you leave the caretaker will go through the invnentory with you. Each piece of furniture and each oject should be replaced where it was found.
